I love the stale cigar smell of old books. You can smell the whole history of that little piece of humanity and it's something that's as gorgeous as any sunset.

Yeah sixty, chlorine is pretty awesome; reminds me of when I was little and my dad would take me and my brother to this big indoor pool in the next town over. The place was so humid and just reeked of chlorine. Good times.

Oh, and I forgot one: hardware store. That mixture of raw lumber, fresh paint, and greased-up machinery with little hints of the flowers and other plants from the adjoining greenhouse. And it always mixes together so well under those big drafty ceilings. I could just sit in a Home Depot or a Lowes all day smelling that.

Yeah, my parents used to pawn me to the YMCA and other youth centers as a kid on week days, and they had this huge Olympic sized pool in one of them. It was so awesome. Disgusting to swim in, but to stand around haha.

Cigarette smoke, although I'm not sure how well that fits into this. It reminds me of my grandfather. I have no intentions of ever smoking, but I can't deny I like the smell of it.

Chlorine is a big one for me, too. Also bleach (not sure if that has chlorine in it or not because it smells similar). I used to love swimming when I was a kid, so that explains that. The bleach I'm not so sure about. Our cats seem to like the smell of bleach, too. o_o

Also I've always loved the smell of Yugioh cards. Or any type of trading card, really. Also books, especially older books.

I'm fond of the smell of rain and snow, too, although I think that's kind of common? I don't know what it is about the air, but I like that smell when there's a storm around.

Gasoline, agreed. Same with chlorine~ <3 I love the stuff. Books in general, and pens also.

Wood in any shape or form smells amazing~

As does burning fabric, cloth, or paper.... anything on fire, generally.

...except maybe a human....

Not that I've smelled a human on fire before. :/

It's not a nice smell, a smell that sticks in your skin and hair. It stays in your mind. Sharpens it, simplifies it. Things were simpler in 'Nam.
